They are on all of the Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.9. They are a functional item but not for introducing air into the compartment but rather to get the heat out an engine compartment that wasn't really designed for that engine. I looked into these myself and trust me you will have a heartattack when you call the dealer for a price. The 5.9 Limited was very limited so the specialty parts for it are really high. Good Luck
