Not really....here's the configurations:

(1) Single 2.5" Exhaust
(2) Single 2.5" Exhaust w/Dual 2.0" - 2.25" Exits
(3) Single 2.5" w/Dual 2.5" Exits (Recommend for Supercharged but works well
on modified V6 w/slight loss in bottom end without S/C but 3.90:1 gears fix
that.)
(4) Single 3" Exhaust - A little bit much for a V6 but with S/C could work
pretty good (and 3.90:1 gears)

If you're running a Cold Air Kit, Modified TB, Jet-Stage-II, 180 T'Stat,
Headers, and a underdrive Crank pulley, either #1 or #2 work very well. Add
a S/C on the V6 and #3 works like a champ!

(I've tested #1, #2, and #3 on my truck over the last 3 years.)

Would a 2-1/2 in and 3 out be too much for a V6?
