Kirk,
I just swung mine out of the way with the help of a second person. They
held the evaporator back while I pulled out and slid in the new cam. Just
don't pull it back to far. They have probably changed the design somewhat,
and this may not work. I have a '96.

Subject: DML: Cam removal question

How much of a problem is the AC evaporator core going to be during a cam
change on a Gen II?
Will I need to have the AC sucked out or can I get away with finagling it?
