Well My Dad had put some on our old 72 Cutlas when we used to use it to pull
the boat and we would just let some air out to soften the ride.

Kenneth,

Hellwig Air Bags are working for me. I tow a (boy scout) trailer had the
same problem.
The air bags were simple to install and allowed me to keep the original
height without load.
The ride did get a little stiffer, but not much because of the brackets on
the spring.
I believe helper springs will make things too stiff, and increase ride
height without load.
My experience with air adjustable shocks were that they were really stiff
without a load.

Just my 2cents, hope it helps.

Okay here's the deal!

When I hook the boat up to the rear of the Dak, the tail end drops more than
I'd like. So I'm looking to get either adjustable shocks or a helper leaf
kit for the rear.

I'm looking to get some opinions / pros & cons of the two.

Thanks
