Senior year in high school $4.25/hr in a machine shop that nearly took my
favorite finger (right hand middle finger) to pay for college application
fees ($200 a pop). If you do the math starting out on your own is extremely
tough, so lay off.

I agree - same here - I worked in a Supermarket to pay
my way through college. I think I was paid
$1.45/hour.
