I almost got mine with the 5.9 but opted for the 4.7 instead. It only made
the 10 more horse so I figured what the heck. Don/t tell me I made a huge
mistake ? Does it perform that much better?

You could put a factory New Venture 5-speed in for that matter. A couple
of people have done that, although nobody I know of with a 360 Quad cab....
