I did not think about why it does not fit until I looked at your picture.
About two years ago my radiator developed a leak and I replaced the radiator
with a heavy duty model (all metal instead of the plastic/metal original).
The difference between the two radiators probably meant the difference
between a snug fit and an unusable electric fan.

Oh well its only money...
