Wow, I've sat here and read stories of woe from some of you guys how you had
to give up your dak for a day or two for servicing. I always thought "these
dependent wussies". But now I'm dakless for a few days, and I'd have to
say, It sucks. I apologize to those who I thought were weak.

I took my dak in Friday night for some nagging warranty problems, regular
maintenance stuff and a couple of user error problems too. All the easy
stuff is done, but now I'm waiting on a new axel and some front wheel
bearing parts, then there's some talk about a little body work. Seems I'll
be out of luck until the end of the week.

If there is a good side to this, I get to enjoy the nostalgic ride of the VW
squareback my dad and I just purchased. I'll probably get the urge to start
performance modding this thing, but no air filter to K&N, no thermostat to
R.Shaw and no computer to Jet chip?

Ok, I'm done rambling now.

oh, and by the way. Irvine Dodge replaced/repacked the front wheel bearings
that were very loose under warranty, despite the Hotchkis set up on my rig.
I was nervous I'd have to flip the bill.
