Is that the light inside the center console where I keep my cd's? If so, my
September Dak has that but none of the other stuff. Not having the hood
light and insulation kinda sucks, but seriously, I didn't want the V8
badging. Too much chrome. 8)

What DC has changed in mid-model year on the 2001 DAKs (aka: cost cutting
measures) (Though it has been reported delivery of some new 2001 DAKs
still have some of these items):
Hood insulation (was standard on SLT)
Hood Light
Console Light (with bucket seats)
V8 badges
QUAD CAB badges on the QC
Rumors have it that for 2002, option packages will change, where some
stuff still considered as standard equipment will have to be bought as a
option (such as offset axle, flawed paint, etc....ok, I'm joking here)
