4.7L removing fan, I can't get it off....HELP!!!

I read all the posts about removing the stock fan and still cannot get it off
the dam engine! Grrrrrrrrr Which way do u turn the bolt? What is the best way
to hold the pump still? Getting ready to a saw to that big nut looking thing.
