In the beginning,Chrysler created the 904 and 727
torqueflite transmissions,and behold,they WERE very
good.But Chrysler caused a deep sleep to fall upon
these transmissions,and the A500 and A518 were
created,respectively,by adding overdrive and lockup
converters.But lo,they have different tailshaft
lengths,and great is the variance thereof.And A500
begat 42RE,and A518 begat 44 and 46RE,and...........
