I agree with #2 especially. My last 2 pull-overs, I've parked my truck at
an angle with the front further off the road. This provides the tail of
the truck as "protection" from traffic. I got the idea after i noticed
troopers using the front of their cruisers in the same way.

I'm batting 11-1 on pull-overs. The one ticket I've gotten was by air so
the officer didn't really have a choice. :)
