I highly doubt I need to do any more muscle building on my legs. I can get
the brakes to lock up, but only the front (unless its in 4x4, and the rear
locks up due to drivetrain lock)! Like Andy Levy said, my point is the
brakes on my truck are very underpowered! Dodge trucks are the only
vehicles I've ever driven where I haven't been able to successfully lock-up
all 4wheels on dry pavement intentionally. I've even had the rear brake
shoes and drums replaced to see if this would fix the problem. The new rear
brakes helped the situation, but not a whole lot. The power booster was
checked, and it's just fine. Test drove other Dakotas w/ the same results.
Just trying to figure a way to improve things, and from others i've heard
from the Jeep crowd - the disk brake conversions are a Godsend! lol, so if
anyone has any ideas please let me know. I'm sure i'm not the only one
complaining about crummy brakes...

Darren Asuncion (considering a Chevy Silverado for the Dak replacement!) ;)
