You better have some deep pockets, lots to change. The engine bolts right
in but it's all the other stuff you have to change. V6 uses a 42RH and the
V8 uses the 46RH. The 42RH won't stand up to the abuse if you plan on being
rough. Rad and shroud are different, computer, rear axle, and I think
you'll end up changing the harness. Most of the time it's wiser to sell the
V6er and buy a V8 truck.

Subject: DML: engine swap
Hey,
I'm still looking around for info concerning swapping a v6 to a v8. My
95 dak is too slow for me now, at least with the six and I'd like to upgrade
to something more powerful. Has anyone tried this in a 2nd Generation dakota
yet? If so what all did you have to do, which engine did you decide to put
it and why? Could you please list all modifications you had to make in
order for the swap to work. Are there any websites that might point me in
the right direction?
Thanks, Geoff

yea that was Casper...I keep in touch with the couple that owns it. Very
nice people. He will have it at the nationals. I think he redid the
truck...if so can't wait to see it.
