Recently purchased a 2001 SLT. Have an issue with the large openings in the front wheel wells. Living in Minnesota I'm concerned about all the road salt, snow, slop, etc getting up into the engine compartment via these two huge holes. Amazed Dodge didn't cover them up as in previous years. Any thoughts about closing up these two holes to better protect the engine compartment (especially in the winter months i.e. Oct - May (up here))?? Appreciate your feedback. My dealer says they were left that way to assist in engine cooling...but I'm not buying that.
