They think the fire started in the cab, but it did move to the engine. The
airhat was completly gone and every piece of plastic was toast. Even the
battery melted! They had to pry the hood open because the latch on the
inside was gone, I think you might be able to see it in the pics.

Sorry to see those pix, Josh. I know how you feel as the I lost my '93
Dak to a fire thanks to the dealership. I was driving mine when it caught
on fire. I was devasted by the loss. I really liked my '93. Got a real
good settlement from Allstate, though and bought a brand new '95 very
much like the '93. I'm sure that they will total it as that's what was
done to my '93 and it didn't look nearly as bad (I think the fire
department did more damage than the fire). The damage on mine was
confined to the engine bay; didn't get past the firewall (rather ironic
name).

Glad you weren't in it and hurt. Hope the insurance comes through for
you.
