I agree - there might have been codes that have been previously stored in the
PCM. If one is stored, all the sensor readings at the point in time when the
MIL(s) was set are available for further diagnosing by the tech. None of this
information is avail via the key on/off method. key on/off will only tell you
about any codes that are still (currently) present.
