Hey Mike, the temp. was about 82ish when I got there and by the last run
maybe in the upper 70's, I'm not sure what the humidity was. I know how
frustrating the "waiting for parts game" can be, my heads were at the shop
for 7 weeks(for a 1 day job)I understand completely. Your truck may be
heavier, but that auto may help more then you think, its extremely difficult
to launch a 5-speed truck when the power levels get higher, you may gain a
few extra ponies with a stick but it can be a bitch getting them to the
ground. When this trans dies(it won't be long)I'm going with a built auto.
Which heads are you getting, the big valve R/T? If I did it over again I'd
go with those, mine are decent but those rock. TTYL
