Robertshaw 180 T-stats...GenIII V6ers only

Before I go any further....lemme just say that I'd like GenIII V6ers ONLY to
reply..(unless you are 100 0x70616e55ositive that your information is accurate...and
you are willing to sacrifice your soul to the dark one if it is false :-)..I
went thru quite a hassle last time when everyone responded to the question
"Which Robertshaw stock #"...some of you may recall this fiasco (sp) this
past June. The help was appreciated, but I ended up going to the autoparts
store 3 times before getting a correct sized t-stat.

anyhoo....I installed the Robertshaw GT-755-180(generation II) T-stat. This
is not the 'balanced', 'high-flow' thermostat though...but at least it fit!
I need to find a way to determine the high-flow, extra performance
Robertshaw stock number which works for the GenIII V6.

I believe Jon made a post awhile back which listed the 400-180 as the
correct stock number (per Autozone's site)...I've been searching the net in
vain in an attempt to verify this elswhere...to no avail. Also, when I
checked the DML guru site (aka Bernd's Speedtweaks)...I saw no reference to
a 400 series T-stat.

If there is any GenIII V6 Dak owners who has installed a Robertshaw 300 or
400 series T-stat in thier Dak....AND...they can confirm the stock
number...I would really appreciate the info. If not, I am also trying to
find a site which might provide this info.

Thanks all. Like I said, I appreciate the great responses from everyone
(this is what makes the DML great), but there was a great degree of
discrepancy in the stock numbers that were being thrown around last
time......ultimately it was apparent that not all Daks take the same
T-stat...even within the GenIII daks.

xtra info: I physically attempted to install the 330-180 and the 370-180 and
found the base of both to be too large to fit the V6 T-stat port. As this
series T-stat is superior to the "GT" series...I hope to finally resolve
this.

Here are some illustrations which show the 'body style' of the 300 series
T-stats:

and some additional info on 'balanced' t-stats:

TIA
Kevin
p.s. Jon, I went to the Autozone site and was unable to access a list of
Robertshaw stock numbers. However you did it...godbless ya....cause that
site was not very user friendly. It kept automating the process and
"choosing" the standard autozone stock number for my Dak..grrr. :-)
