I would say if your truck has a factory towing package(frame mounted
hitch, trans cooler, etc.) you should have the hook ups. If you don't have the
hook ups MOST brake controller are still pretty easy to hook up. Check
instructions for brake controller to be sure, but mine only needed a power
source (the battery) a ground ( ran a wire under the carpet to my seat
bracket) and a hook up to the brake switch ( located near top of the brake
pedal). I used a multi-tester to figure out which wire was hot only when the
brakes were applied. These were the only hook ups to my controller, the only
other wire of course went to the trailer. My truck is a 97 but MOST brake
controllers will hook up very similar. Hope this helps you out. Feel free to
email me off list if I can help more.
