whew glad to hear I wasn't the only o My Dad is giving me hell for buying a
dodge. He bought the Dakota the first year it came out and it was a hunk of
junk. Rear main seal, heater core and the AC went out all within about 6
months.

Hey Karsh!

Same thing with my '01. I drive 50 miles one way to the office with 40 miles
of highway. During the first 5 miles, I never look to see if the pressure
drops to 1/2 way. I just make sure I have pressure ;) In the final stretch,
it always drops to just below half at each stop. It runs at 3/4 all
day/night long.

Noticed that since I changed the oil last time to Quaker state 5w-30 that my
oil pressures does something funny. When I'm running down the road the
pressure ride at the 3/4 mark and stays. After the engine gets warmed up
though if I sit at an idle the pressure drops to just a tad under the half
way point. This is a 4.7 in a 2001 quad cab. Anyone else have this? Is
this normal and I just now caught it or what?
