Yes, It can and has been done. Albeit a HEMI. Hemi and 383/440 are big
blocks, and have the same mounting ears/position.
Hot Rod magazine did 2 articles on this March 2000 and ???. I have one of
the articles in PDF format, if you'd like it, e-mail me directly
acellan1@tampabay.rr.com . BTW, I called the shop that did the conversion
to see if theys had mounts/plans for sale, they said not at this time but
possibly in the future, that was 2-3 months back.
