I've avoided the pumpkin because it's cast metal. I wouldn't think
that its designed to take the load from underneath. I use the axle
tubes because they carry the load from the suspension anyway.
I guess I've been overly cautious.

Be careful to chock the wheels! My Accord almost got away from
me one day when I lifted the front wheels off the ground without
the parking brake set! Luckily the grade of my driveway is small
enough that I could hold it back until I thought to lower it
back to the ground.
