I wanted to know which parts of the front end suspension/steering assembly
can be purchased aftermarket....in particular, which can be replaced with
'performance' type aftermarket parts?
I ask because I shall be having the dealership taking a look at the front
end of my 99 Dak.....I believe that the tie-rods may be bad...or something
similar to that (I'm getting loose steering and can't get the damn things
aligned no matter what). Unfortunately, these guys work fast, so I have to
be prepared to have aftermarket info in the event that they say I need
replacements.
I have seen so-called aftermarket 'performance' ball joints, but what other
assemblies/parts might I keep in mind that could be the problem and may be
able to be replaced with a performance upgrade (when I say
performance...basically I refer to anything that is "better than stock").
I am not looking for particualr manufacturers (although that would be nice
:-), instead, I just need part names....I'll hit the web and do some
research on who makes what.
