I have 17s on my truck as well. It's not the spindle that's the issue. I
would be worried about the inner side of the tire hitting the frame when
lock-to-lock. Can you turn lock-to-lock with that much backspacing? I
would be surprised since my stock 94 rubs when at a full turn and I know
this is common with the GenIIs.
