The 2001 is a bitch to put in. You will have to make 4 bushings, use the old
gasket, use the old bolts and none of the boots will fit. It can be done
though, I KNOW, I just spent 2 days re-engineering to fit. Also have to heat
and bend the shift lever to keep it from hitting the dash. Works great after
all the work. I think I'd wait and see if Hurst will redo the kit just for
the 2001. Bill
