I would say at least 1.5 to 2 times as loud.
Unbearable is honked inside a garage.

Hey Ken,
In your estimation how much louder are the Hella's compared to stock?

The Twin Supertone Horn are definitely loud. Installed 2 of these kits on
cars that belong to my friend.

Well, the best horn we have is the Twin Supertone Horn Kit.
This is a set of two electric disc horns, one at 300Hz and
one at 500Hz. It has the sound similar to a loud European
car. I have them on my 99 R/T. They are rated at 118dB just
like the triple air horns. They are also much more reliable
than the air horns. Most of the air horns will get you about
a year or two. They are all plastic, except for the
compressor and with that many moving parts, they wear out.
If you want to try the Supertone Horns, order Hella part #
85115. They are pricey (MSRP $96.01 but you should be able
to get them for around $60-$70), but they are high-quality
German horns.
I might be able to do a group buy, depending on how many
people are interested. If someone wants to give it a shot at
organizing it (been there, done that), just drop me a line at
work at jack.hilton@hinc.hella.com .
We can also try this for off-road lamps if there is any
interest.

I know my dak is in need of a good "loud" horn. The one
that came on it
came off of a compact i think. What was DC thinking? IT'S
A TRUCK!
