Though, there is a page buried out on the net written by a guy who claims he
and his friends did attach a JATO to a 1959 Impalla in an attempt to build a
rocket powered sled as was used at the time by the Air Force. He says the
legend is untrue, but that he feels their actions were responsible for the
birth of the legend.
