The current axle availability for the Dakota is:
8 1/4 Axles 4X2 and 4X4
3.21 Open Case (4X2 only, no TracLoc available)
3.55 Open Case and TracLoc with 9" brakes or 11" brakes
3.92 Open Case and TracLoc with 9" brakes or 11" brakes
9 1/4 Axles 4X2 and 4X4
3.55 Open Case and TracLoc with 9" brakes or 11" brakes
3.92 Open Case and TracLoc with 9" Brakes or 11" brakes
The brake size depends on what model and options are ordered.
Just for the heck of it, here is the axles for the New Ram (1500)
All Ram axles are 9 1/4. The 3.21 Open Case and the 4.10 TracLoc
axles have been dropped for 2002. The 4.10 may come back later in
the year for an "Off Road" package. Currently there is:
4X2:
3.55 Open Case and TracLoc with 11" brakes
3.92 TracLoc only with 11" brakes
4X4:
3.55 Open Case and TracLoc with 11" brakes
3.92 TracLoc only with 11" brakes
