I did a 2-4 drop on my 97 dakota.

Anyways. I have 2" western chassis coils up front and a 2" hanger drop and
2" blocks on the back with just basic ole summit drop shocks.
The ride is pretty stiff and the bad thing about the coil springs up front
is. There is not enough rebound in the suspension with 2" coils, let alone
3" drop coils! I had to cut off my factory front bump stops and install
aftermarket bump stops that were shorter to keep it from riding on the
bumpstops all the time. Same with the rear's 4" drop. I didn't buy new
bumpstops, but I trimmed the factory one down and there's not more than 1"
of suspension travel.
I personally like the way it handles until you hit a bump, then it's all
over the road.
If you want to have a very good ride. I'd stick with the rear leaf springs
and get front drop control arms. Much better ride and a lot of ur
suspension will still have adjustments left for it.
Currently, my camber for the front is at -.5 but caster can't be moved from
5.7 but caster is dead even 5.7 for both left and right, so no pull, but
returnability is somewhat compromised :(
Just my opinion
