WOW! They still charge for air back there??? It's against the law in
California. Air and water are free.....however, the station can reserve the
right to supply it only to customers.

So I go out to add some air in my tires (they're a couple pounds low) this
morning. Pull out the trusty Craftsman lighter-plug-powered compressor,
plug it in, and start unwrapping the hose. Then it falls off entirely.
The hose ripped right by the connection to the unit, in a very tight space
(can't fit a finger in there).

Suppose I'll have to make do with the gas station (if I can find one that
has free air, they're few and far between these days) or Jiffy Lube for
today.

Now to see if Sears covers me, or if this is one of those "wear & tear"
items that doesn't get the lifetime warranty. My guess is the latter.
