I'm not sure about the relay wiring... double check the schematic that
should have come w/ it.

on the switch, ground=ground, load=relay, and power=12v for the
illumination.

Subject: DML: Illuminated rocker switch...electrical question

For those of you who are electrically inclined:

I am in the final stages of completing my NEON light circuit. I am using a
12v30amp relay along with an "illuminated" rocker switch. The rocker switch
has 3 prongs..GROUND / LOAD / POWER. Ground is obvious...and I 'think' LOAD
should be connected to the relay's #86 prong...but what about the POWER
prong.
I assume the power prong is for the illumination...where do I connect this
to. Are there any 'hot' wires in the overhead console area I can use?(that's
where the switch will be)

...if you have read this far and understand what I'm doin, here's what I
think is the correct setup...if you see something that aint right...feel
free to yell : -):

:From the 12v30amp relay:

#30 - connected to 12v battery via an inline fuse
#87 - leads to my neon lights - in this case a 4-way fused dist. block
soldered at one end
#85 - ground
#86 - to the "load" prong on my illuminated rocker switch

In a nutshell, turning the switch on should activate any and all lights
connected to the fused distribution block.

Feel free to email me off list as this may not be relevant to most on the
list.

Thanks
