The truck ended up needing an ignition coil. What sucks, is this is the
first thing I wanted to try, but Dodge, in it's infinite wisdom, changed the
connector on the coil in '98 so I couldn't install my coil to see if that
would work.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
BTW, the truck no runs smoother at all RPM's and will roast the tires from a
dead stop. It wouldn't even chirp them before the coil failed.
