Try white lithium grease. You can get it at any parts store. I use it all
the time on bushings and parts on my motorcycle that are prone to rust like
cable adjusters and the like. It works like a champ. You can get it at
NAPA in a spray can form. Seems that would be the best way to get to the
bushings.
