DUH. Which means as long as you stick with a tire size reasonably close one
of the factory sizes, no problems with the speedo. Got it. Thanks for the
clarification. Must have been the Bucs winning that has my mind all fuzzy.

No, changing to a non-factory gear ratio *does not* require any sensor or
PCM program change. The speed sensor is attached to the axle, AFTER the
differential. Regardless of axle ratio or transmission gear, that axle
will always turn the same number of times per mile.
