My son (Dave) and I went to the Cayuga track (now named
Toronto Motorsports Park) on Oct. 28. I wanted to give
it one last try here to get into the 14.6s. Dave wanted to
put the '85 Turbo Intercooled Shelby on the track for the first
time (been stored the last 13 years).

Dave and I alternated our runs. One of us would do 2 consecutive runs in a row
while the other cooled down.

Dave got a best with the Shelby on his last run with a 15.03 @ 95.50 .
He spent most of the 11 previous runs trying to sort out a launch
technique and shift pattern for the fwd, manual, turbo. He was still
having a hard time controlling the spinning street tires in 2nd.
Once it's in 3rd, it really moves, especially through the last 1/4
of the track.
Looking forward to Cecil I on Sat. Nov. 17 (weather permitting).
Can someone lend me a helmet if tech won't accept my
beaver cap (keep the dream alive) :-)
Coming off of cloud nine! Hope to see some of you there.
Bob
