brake problem

Hey everyone,
my name is Shane and I just started on your list today. I'm 27 and the
proud new owner of a 1996 Dodge Dakota 4x4 5.2L 46RE tranny, and I have a
major problem. After I recently replaced the rear brake shoes and drums
with dodge value line shoes and drums I have been noticing a metallic
howling noise coming from the rears. This occurs hot or cold and only right
before coming to a complete stop, and a little as I am pulling away from
that stop. It doesn't happen everytime but frequent enough to really piss a
guy off. The noise sounds like when a school bus stops. I have the 9.25
HD rear brakes with rear anti lock only. I work at a Chrysler dealership
and have found no TSB's relating to this problem or brakes in general. Has
anybody else had this problem after a fresh brake job. The rear springs are
also new too. Right now I'm thinking backing plate unless somebody else
tells me different. Thanks in advance for all the info.
