The "posting from a.a.d.t." apparently does not apply to 2001 Daks.
The relay and schematics for the 2001 Dakota are different.
As someone replied to me on DodeDakots.com, I think the only way you can do
this
mod is to disconnect the line from the control module to the fog lamp relay
and put
in your own switch . . .

Subject: Fog Lights With High Beams - NOT
IP: Logged
Message:
I want to be able to have my Fog Lights on with my High Beams (off road
only, of
course).
I have read other peoples suggestions, and even saw one where a person
suggested
a specific "pull the relay and put in a jumper wire" modification. The
suggestion was
VERY wrong (for a 2001 DAK).
After THOROUGHLY reviewing the schematics in the Factory Shop Manual,
probing
all the lines connected to the Fog Light relay, and checking out the above
suggested
changes, I have determined that Dodge has done a good job of not allowing
you to make
this change.
The input to the Fog Light relay is normally "on" (12V), and goes to ground
(low
resistance) when the fog lights are switched on (it goes back to 12V when
Fogs +
High Beams). This input is controlled by something called the "control
module" in the
schematics. Sooo, without changing the operation of the "control module",
or
disconnecting the input to the fog light relay and hard wiring my own
switch, there is
no way that I can make this change ? ? ? ? ?
Comments ? Suggestions ??
