If an unexpected situation occurs, the MIL may not nescessarily come
on; the computer may flag the situation (by storing a "pending" code,
which you saw) and monitor it. If it never happens again, the code will
clear eventually, but if it continues to happen, the computer will light
the MIL. Depending on your scanner software, there may be a screen
that will allow you to look at the "freeze frame" data; these are
the conditions when that particular code was stored (rpm, speed, etc.)
That may help you to narrow down when it might have happened.
