I REALLY hope this deal comes through. Another update on my Project
Olds, which is now wearing a new coat of primer btw. Our company is
right now transporting alot of cars up to Lake Piru for a big movie
shoot. One of the feature cars is a '67 GTO, they have several made up,
most will be destroyed in the movie (damn them!!) along with some new
Corvette convertables which will meet the same fate. Anyways, what I'm
looking at is when one of the GTO's was at our yard, I popped the hood
(s/b Chevy, yuck!!) and noticed a shiny new master cylinder and related
parts from a later year car.......hmmmm........they put some large front
cross drilled discs on, look like about 11" or so, they would work on
the Olds, lol, but what got me was they also put on cross drilled rear
discs as well!!! Now I GOTTA get those!! It has the same rear end as the
Olds (10 bolt), so that would be a simple swap :) They also put on new
Weld Drag Stars. 15x8 with 255-60-15's all the way around, BRAND NEW!! I
REALLY hope this deal comes through, I can get this stuff for DIRT
CHEAP!! It would cost me about $1700 from a supplier just to get the
brake stuff alone since mine has 4 wheel DRUMS!! :( Oh, I'll let y'all
in on the movie when I get more info :)
