Thanks for the replies to my questions about the
OBDI & OBDII & reading the computer codes. Are some of
the same systems different? I went out and checked
last night after reading my mail and cycling the key 3
times doesn't work. That is the way I had always done
it on the earlier models, so I tried cycling the key
10 times as Tom suggested and I got my codes!!! I was
beginning to think something was wrong with the
computer, but after cycling 10 times the codes flashed
on the "check engine" light. I have the common 12 and
55, which the 12 should be gone. I have had my truck
4 1/2 months and the battery hasn't been disconnected
during that time. I thought that was supposed to clear
after so many cycles. Thanks again for the help.
