I'm at a stop light downtown yesterday and some kid in
a Honda something (they all look alike) nails it next to me.
I floored it rolling into second and caught his door just as
I hit third....or tried to hit 3rd....VAROOMMM!!!....double
clutched it quick, found 3rd and still beat him. But it
really pissed me off!....so moral of the story, I ordered
my COMPLETE Hurst shift kit today.
Enough is enough!

I even took the stick out of the tower and set the tower on the tranny
with the bottom of the stick in the socket & the pivot ball was up by the
same 1/4" thickness. I even went to the dealer and looked at the gasket for
my tranny and it was right, then I compared the amount the socket ball stuck
down below the tower and it was 1/4" longer than the OEM.
Now you got me wondering if Hurst put the wrong stub shifter in the
tower
that I got. WEIRD HUH? Bill
