On this note, there are several things the officer has to bring to traffic
court. There is like Brian said, the records of the calibration of the radar
gun. But there is also the records for the calibration of the tuning fork
for the radar gun(if they get bent, they change), the FCC license for the
radar gun(everyone has it's own, compare serial #'s), and the officers FCC
license to operate the radar gun. Also, did the officer let you see the
readout on the radar gun, it's required (at least in Pa.) If he did, did you
notice if the switch was in the "test" or "calibrate" position. Most of the
tuning forks used generate a signal of either 60 or 65 MPH (close to the
actual reading the gun will be used for.) This is a big area that's commonly
used by corrupt police to pull someone over in order to try and find
something else (profiling), but normally does not end up in a ticket cause
they are supposed to show you the readout and you may spot the switch
position.
