Granted, I don't know what the actual internal costs are of these
components, but for Joe Schmoe to pick up a Viper crate motor, he needs
to drop about 16 grand, as compared to 3 for a 360. If I recall
correctly, the truck is a 6 speed which could easily be another $3,000.
A good set of disc brakes all around starts around $3K for the cheap
stuff and can quickly go into 5 digits. Those huge rims can't be
cheap either. I guess the perspective I'm coming from is what would an
average person need to come up with to build an SRT-10 starting with a
a standard Ram, and the answer is a heck of a lot more than $30,000.
The truck and the engine alone are well over that number.

Like I mentioned before, I guess we'll get some insight into the
actual costs of particular components inside DC when we see the pricing
on the SRT-10. :-)
