Actually, the fuel system stays pressurized for a little while until the
fuel bleeds off, so a leak could continue after the engine is shut off. But
you are right in that there is way except hot exhaust to spark a fire, and
that usually cools off very quickly this time of year. I agree that it
probably was an electrical fire too.
