ASE chips?

Anyone had any experience (or know anyone eho has) with the ASE chip for the
dakota? Does it work as well as what they say on their website? It sounds
like you have to send them your chip to get reprogrammed.... What's the
advantage of a Mike Leach flash vs the ASE?
