Subject: DML: Uhoh....we've got a problem...
Well, it's a confirmed kill on the #2 cylinder but from looking at the
coolant, oil, plugs, and exhaust pipe...it may be something else...we'll
find out on Monday.
Cylinder Compression Check:
1 = 150 (Good)
3 = 149 (Still good)
5 = 150 (Whew, driver-side bank is fine)
2 = 70 (Houston, we have a problem)
4 = 140 (Hmmmmm)
5 = 150 (Ok...one out of three ain't bad...is it?)
Since the plugs were brand new yesterday afternoon, they would show some
sort of water/oil on the electrode...but there's none. The exhaust pipe
should show some sort of water as well...there's none either. I didn't
do a leak-down test on the cylinders as #2 was the "proof" that
somethings wrong.
Hmmmm...new engine may be installed sooner than I think. ;)
(But I still ran a 14.55 @ 96.87mph last night.)
