hydraulic roller lifters can be replaced without replacing the camshaft as
these lifters wear very little under normal use.
Roller cams do not wear like flat tappet cams, but when removing
lifters they should still be put back in the
same place they came out of. Roller cams do not have the same friction as
flat tappet cams that's why they work
better in performance applications and in truck engines.
more torque,horsepower and longer service life.
Hydraulic lifters tend to sometimes pump up and stick regaurdless
of design thats where the ticking comes from and they won't bleed off when
the oil pressure drops
