I have ~40K on my 2K QC clutch. I also have problems getting into first and
reverse.

My dealer told me that this was normal. Told me that reverse was not
synchronized so to put it into fifth then reverse. 5th is synch'd so it sets
up the gears for getting it into reverse. Seems to work.

He also told me that the difficulty getting it into first was normal. Using
the same procedure, if I put it into 2nd then 1st, it seems to work.

After all that, you can sometimes hear me cursing at the top of my lungs at
a stop.
