Do I Need Professional Help?

I talked with a freind about my oxygen sensor situation, and he thought the
new sensor had to be set up with a computer (basicly he thought i needed to
go to the dealer) Is this true? I'm holding off on my tune up untill I
know I can do everything in one shot.
